Basic Dumbbell Chest Press

a) Lying on a bench, start with your arms bent at 90 degrees.  Keep your core tight and your elbows slightly in front of you.

b) Press the dumbbells straight up and together over your chest maintaining a slight bend in your elbows

Basic Dumbbell Fly

a) Lying on a bench, start with your arms extended over your chest.  Keep a slight bend in your elbows.

b) Slowly lower the dumbbells to the side maintaining the slight bend in the elbows.  Use your chest to pull the dumbbells back to starting position.

Skull Crushers

a) Lying on a bench, start with your arms extended over your chest.  Keep a slight bend in your elbows.

b) Bend your elbows 90 degrees bringing the top of the dumbbell to your forehead with forearms parallel to the the floor.  Careful not to bow out your elbows.  They should stay in line with your shoulders.

Triceps Dips

a) Hold onto the edge of the bench with both and hands and arms extended behind you

b) Bend your elbows so that your biceps are parallel with the floor and your elbows are pointing directly behind you.

**Bring your feet in with your knees bent to make the dip easier.

 

Bicep Curls

Shown here from seated position.

a) Sit with you back straight and your core tight with a dumbbell in each hand.

b) Curl the dumbbell up towards your body.  Do not sway or rotate your wrists.
